This is an image from a story of 3 crew-members from the cruise ship "Ruby Princess" being transported COVID-positive, into hospitalization in Sydney.

Interesting imagery. I feel that it spotlights very nicely that despite humankind's efforts to dominate, Nature can just calmly pluck us out and leave our industrial progresses ground to a shuddering halt.

Dunno. Nicely composed though :)

Haunting, I'd say... With the silhouettes and the fire colors in the background...

Hemingway - "Death in the Afternoon"? Did they re-spool that into a sci-fi movie already? Nurse Ractched wasn't in sci-fi... nah I'm stumped, Argolance (?)

Sorry, my "question" was about the strange and beautiful picture you posted above, but messages were spent in between yours and mine...

Cheers !
(yeah it looks photoshopped - so beautifully framed and balanced between soothing waters and inflammed rigging - the photographer should be rightly chuffed with that one!)

That reminds me of something that was said to happen during the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami. The first thing the tsunami did was, the ocean receded from the shore for a long ways. People walked out to marvel at what the ocean floor looked like without an ocean covering it. Then the ocean came back. But it wasn't a towering wave, as in this cartoon. It just slowly rose, and rose, and rose and kept rising.
