Looking for VMware pup, pet, or iso

#1 Post by VariEze »

I'd like to find vmware server already set up for puppy. I have puppy 2.15 and tried a couple of times to get vmware server going using the download from the vmware site, and even following the instructions on other posts, ran into problems. I just have a couple of programs that won't run under wine, and a VM would do the trick.

Maybe someone has goten vmware to work on an older version of puppy, and can share the iso. As a torrent, maybe? I don't care if it takes 3 days to download.

Virtualbox does seamless windows

#4 Post by burggraf2 »

I just posted a how-to in the How To forum showing how to install and configure the newly released (free) VirtualBox 1.5.0 under Puppy 2.17. Not only does it work under Puppy, you can run it seamlessly -- meaning that your windows apps can run on your puppy desktop. It's very cool.
