Puppy has come to my rescue many times as Boot CD. Every PC user should keep a Puppy CD, preferably a Puppy FLASH too.

Compared to most rescue disks, Puppy has the advantages that
1) The CD/DVD drive remains available for offloading files.
2) Easy wireless setup and good network software provide a convenient means of offloading whole file systems.
3) Meanwhile, you have a usable computer.

I'm not surprised.

It's precisely my search for a CD-booting Windows-rescue solution, a couple of months ago, that led me to Puppy.

In the mean time, I barely use Windows anymore :-)
