Folks,
I have a couple of Puppy Dingo CDs I've made. They were booting up and working just fine until yesterday. I can't think of any changes I've made.
I can't boot anymore.
The boot program runs up until the screen that says Loading Kernals, or some such thing. It's just about the last item in the boot up program. Then the disk drive just coasts to a stop without going any further.
I've come to rely on Puppy because Vista works so poorly for many of the open source programs I use daily, and now I can't make it work.
Can anyone help with this?
Steve B.
Dingo CDs won't boot anymore
Hi gingerman; Sudden problems like this usually can be fixed by moving the Save file, forcing Puppy to make a new one.
If it boots, then mount the original Save to get any needed info from it, this is why I don't use the Save file for personal data.
This is why it's a good idea to get Puppy setup how you like & then make a backup of the Save file just in case of this...
