Kidz Korner - moderated Linux graphics forum for kids

#1 Post by Dadster »

Hi all,
My name is Dadster. I am co-founder of Linux Graphics Users forum. I want to announce we have added a section just for kids. A place to teach the next generation the basics of Linux graphics software. It's geared toward kids ages up to 16. We call it Kidz Korner and it will be heavily moderated to keep it a safe place to hang out. We're aiming to make this a fun place. So if you have kids at home that are starting to get into Linux then this could be someplace you may want to steer them.

Thanks, Dadster

Dadster, I wish you well in this new effort. As soon as some donated PCs get here, I'm going to put together a small lab at the small school (80 students) where I teach. I've been collecting various kinds of apps and games that I hope will give kids a comfortable intro to Linux.

I'll include a link to Kidz Korner somewhere, although I'm not sure how accessible forum software is for newbies.

Lane
