WPA2 wireless connection keeps dropping (Solved)

does anyone know why my internet keeps dropping?
every few minutes it stops working and i have to click connect and auto dhcp for it to work again
any ideas?

You should give a lot more info about your setup.

i'm connecting to a wpa2 encrypted wireless network, i have a ath9k cark (as far as i know)
did i miss anything?

well it's the latest 5.2.5 version, i did a frugal install
and how will my pc specs help?
anyway i have a m320 amd processor, 3gb ram and a ati hd5145 video card

Low specs can influence badly the working of a PC.
Yours is ok.

To setup there are two possibilities. The normal network wizard and the simple network setup.

Sometimes one don't work quite well and the other is to be used then.
So in your case, try the other one.

Also is the connection quality between your WiFi device and the access point good?
Check with iwconfig in a terminal.

the signal never goes below 50% but i will try the other network thing when i get back home

If it is around 50% that is low.
Normally should be between 80-100% for a reliable working.

i never had any problems before puppy, and it seams the other internet mode works perfectly (at least for now)
i'll write back if it happens again
