Lighthouse 64 development
Lighthouse 64 development
I have IceCat 4.0.1 running but had to download libdbus-1.so.3 from debian stable and install and have it working but can not add any plugins. It has Flash and xine already pre installed.
It works fair with internet TV. Now that is using FATDOG64-511 .

Hi and welcome jamesbond,
Just found this wikibooks page of PuppyLinux variants.
http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Puppy_Linux/Puplets
Maybe could include Fatdog 64 also.

I tried that, but it expanded the WM column way over for all the others, so I had to leave IceWM and LXDE out of that wikibook entry.gcmartin wrote:Question: should LightHouse be updated to show additional WMs available?
Hoep this helps
P.S. Check your PM
Got your PMs, will keep in mind; in fact I grabbed Shinobar's firstrun-1.8.2 today to see if I can adapt it for Lighthouse 64.

Hey Taz,
Have a new wallpaper. Hope you like it, it is a little bit different and darker. Put together using photos I have taken.
Cheers

Thanks, Jason. I think I can move the cool text across to the LR section so that the desktop icons won't cover it up. Very nice!jasmac wrote:Hey Taz,

Re: 32-bit support?
Yes, the current 32-bit SFS for Fatdog is only for running apps, not for compiling. If you want to compile 32-bit apps in Fatdog, this is what I did - get an Quirky or Wary of the same age and their devx (I think the 32-bit SFS in Fatdog is based on Quirky 100 or 110 - can't recall now), and combine the devx and quirky.sfs into one SFS - and then mount them with aufs over tmpfs (or just use Shinobar's SFS loader). After that, just chroot into the directory - voila! You get yourself a 32-bit compiling environmenttazoc wrote:I think a 32-bit SFS for running apps, (not compiling) as Fatdog has, with more libs from LHP 5.03 would be an option, however a 32-bit devx--for a Fatdog 64-based system... I have no idea. I don't know enough about compiling and potential conflicts to answer that.Q5sys wrote:Could it be possible to create a lib32.sfs bundle with the necessary libs and devx stuff which could be loaded (during say the initial install) to enable 32bit compatibility? That way its a possibility for a user to go that route during install but isnt required. Or are we looking at too many potential conflicts between a 32devx sfs and a 64devx sfs?
cheers!
