Huawei 3G USB modem in Slacko: how to call provider?
Re: Huawei 3G USB modem in Slacko: how to call provider?
To use your USB modem in puppy linux, try Saluki Puppy Linux. Its a well polished puppy linux derivative. It will detect your USB Modem Automatically (I think U ppl r using PTCL's EVO). Just Insert your USB and wait for a while. after that use pup dial Modem dialer.
dial number = #777
user name = vwireless@ptcl.com
pasword = ptcl
Thats it:)
I followed the above steps and works well for me without any issue.
Hope that it helps.
(Note: To make a call you have to use any phone dialer application of puppy linux, I never tried that that)

Flash, Its not a 56 k Modem.Flash wrote:I assume this is a dial-up or 56 kbps modem. Correct me if I'm wrong. Would it work to install Wine so you could use the Windows version of the mobile partner client?
Its 3G USB Modem (Like typical Flash Drives).
