Has anyone tried Puppy on a Norhtec Microclient Jr?
How slow does it run? Can you upgrade the RAM?
Has anyone found a distributer in the US?
$120 plus $35 for shipping does not quite make this a sub $100 machine.
I think someone should buy 1000 of them to get the $90 cost and reduced shipping and distribute them in the US.
Puppy on a Norhtec Microclient Jr.?
vortex86
Searching for "vortex86" should give you more info where to get it. Thanks to puppian who did the research.
Some models enable you to add RAM.
The issue of speed is relative - people who use tiny but speedy software generally would find it adequate for their needs. For example, many folks can live without GUI, so 128 MB would be lots of space for them.
