If you check their website, you'll find it's a matter of overwriting your current install.

Look, FF does. Opera and Seamonkey.. on Pup? Not. What I do is leave anything Sm related in ~/ alone, take ROX to /usr/local and delete the entire seamonkey folder. From here, I extract the fresh build to the same location, /usr/local, so that I wind up with a new /usr/local/seamonkey directory.

So long as you confirm the current install is /usr/local/seamonkey, rename any old so new builds can execute.

I don't have /usr/local/seamonkey. I have /usr/lib/seamonkey and /usr/lib/seamonkey 2.15.2

:D Well, you know what I'd do, and do.. Successfully. /usr/lib's just as good as /usr/local.

BK compiled Seamonkey for precise and other puppies and those builds are not updateable. You must install the portables ones. I give you some links. You do not need to remove the built-in seamonkey. Just install another seamonkey which is updateable.
