Puppy Help

We'll need more information to help you. Type of computer with details about ram memory, video card, hard drive, booting from usb, cd, hard drive. What puppy and version.

Thanks

Is this the first time booting with Puppy or has it worked and now it does not?
What type connection for the mouse to computer?
The things they do not tell you, are usually the clue to solving the problem.
When I was a kid I wanted to be older.... This is not what I expected

Mouse works in Windows

#5 Post by Bird Dog »

Hi boxclever if it was me I would try another mouse working in windows or not.You could try booting up to the tahr CD or usb you used to install puppy and see if the mouse works then. If it works from the booted cd or usb somethings happened to your installation.
That P3 doesn't owe you anything, I have a P4 that struggles sometimes and I use my P3 just off line.
If your mouse worked when you booted to the cd or usb it will work with a fresh full frugal install. You could transfer files from your not working mouse puppy to a flash drive or other partition while you were booted from the tahr CD or usb. That's the best I can do for now.

Thanks

puppy tahr

What version?
6.0
6.0.5
6.3
6.0.6
etc....?

How installed on sda5?
Full or frugal?
What format is sda5?

Anything you may have done just before the mouse stopped working?

Actuallly, seriously, I had a mouse in Fatdog64 live and when installed the mouse and keyboard both were dead. Not a biggie. Just moved on to another distro with less problems
