I just used UNetbootin to install Puppy 4.3.1 on a flash drive and it worked fine. However, I have found SD cards to be unreliable boot media.

No DEFAULT or UI configuration directive found!
boot:

what's this error mean? how do I fix it?

when I double click on the SD card when it's on the computer with windows it shows all the files on it, so I know it installed it properly, but when I put it in the netbook I get the error you see above..

so frustrating.

That error message occurs when the syslinux bootloader cannot find its syslinux.cfg file. Look on the SD card to see if it's there.

Like I said, I have had much better luck with flash drives than SD cards.

I'm downloading the 4.3.1 iso from the main site now, going to try it that way instead of choosing puppy latest live because it gave me the older version of puppy. don't have a flash drive, just an SD card..

let's see if this works... if I need the syslinux.cfg file, where might I obtain that? or can I just create one?
