b43 wlan module loading problem? <<solved>>

#1 Post by slow your roll »

Hi y'all -- I have this weird new problem w/ the network manager. It used to work great.
I get these error messages:

Failed to connect to wpa_supplicant - wpa_ctrl_open: No such file or directory

I have to unload and reload b43 to get online at startup. Once or sometimes twice, then it works fine.

Any advice?
Thanks!

b43 wireless in 528

I have had the same problem with the broadcom wireless on my old acer 3680.

I have tried everything to sort the problem but to no avail so today I reinstalled 525 and my wireless works again perfectly.
