pup201 WAG032 Reseat & Eject buttons missing

#1 Post by r__hughes »

In pup109CE WAG032 had Refresh, RESEAT, Eject, Dhcp Toggle, Run Wifi Beta, Mozilla, Profiles, Scan, Help
In pup201sm WAG032 has Refresh, Dhcp Toggle, Run Wifi Beta, Mozilla, Profiles, Scan, Help

Is there any reason why RESEAT and Eject were omitted in pup201 - I found these very useful to shutoff network connection, remove, replace and restart my PCMCIA network card without having to reboot puppy109.

This is mainly for network maintenance & security purposes - but I imagine it would be useful in public LAN areas too.

I have a NEC Versa SX notebook with a D-Link DWL-610 wifi 802.11b pcmcia card. (The card sticks out and the flashing lights can be seen a mile away)

Its a Puppy2 issue. Still sorting out why it happens. The code that detects which PCMCIA slot is used skips out and assumes you are runnina PCI or USB based wireless. So it "intelligently" removes the Reseat and Eject buttons, which only apply for PCMCIA.
