I re-expanded the unleashed tarball and used the defaults and got a workable puppy.iso!! Not sure what I did to stuff it but hey it does work... Thanks for the update. I was at a complete loss as to what the problem might be. Kept trying to think of things for you to try and trouble shoot but could...

If you just need to do a couple, use mtpaint. Open them up one at a time and select 'save as' from the menu. To do large batches there is a thread around here somewhere with a utility and a script to do it, but I don't know what it's called or where it is. Hopefully someone will come along and link ...

Since it's not open source, apparently no one can do anything about it.
Although it seems someone on the seamonkey/firefox team could at least catch the error and dispose of it gracefully instead of letting it crash the whole application.
