I don't really get it... It must be somewhere in ROX's options, but i don't seem to find it. It's not in JWM because i already checked there. So, basically, in every window managed by ROX (except the desktop that i fixed), the font used is Sans 12 instead of DejaVu Sans 12. Where can i change the fo...

Thanks for that, fonts are okay now. ;) As for libsdl, i installed it but still mplayer doesn't work with sound output set to sdl. It must be something about my hardware, well, guess i'll just live with it as i'll be getting that lappy on the 12th of September. :D Now all that remains to be fixed is...

Summer could've been better but it was nice. ;) Well, last three paragraphs were the questions. :P About themes, sdl library and flash in Opera. Anyway, never mind the theme and menu issues, as those got fixed by updating GTK+ to the latest version. But that messed up my desktop fonts, they are thin...

Back to Puppy and have more questions!
Hey people, i'm back. :D First of all i wanted to thank you for the great 2.17 release, it runs incredibly well on a full install. 8) I'll get a 1.2GHz lappy with 256MB RAM (plan to put in 512MB) soon, and be sure Puppy will be my distro of choice. I can't wait to see what it can do on a decently-sp...

I've gotten it to run as well. Unfortunately my poor Pentium-MMX 200 overclocked to 250MHz is too weak to run any game at more than a crawl. DOSEmu seems to work much better for me, but it isn't all that compatible. Well, i think i'll stick to playing Mario and Brix. :P Just a quick question: ...

Google rocks! I just found this in the Ubuntu forums:
Type this in a terminal and voila, DOSEmu doesn't crash anymore and i face a beautiful C:> prompt. Now let's see how games will run on my crap machine.
Code: Select all
echo 0 > /proc/sys/kernel/randomize_va_space

Hmm, i have a similar question that isn't worth a new topic. How can i make the settings i've made with gxset run at every boot? Because now, every time i shut the X server down or reboot, it reverts to the defaults. I've noticed that i can save my gxset settings into the .xset.sh file, but how can ...

2.16 auto install is broken. I tried the same thing and got the same result. You need to manually edit the grub entries. Same happened to me. I got an access denied error that would trigger an infinite loop when i tried the auto installer (for a complete install), but all went just fine when i sele...

I'm talking about this version.
As for the DotPups, you uninstall them from the PETget package manager, you will see them listed there. If you want to remove all configs/settings as well, then delete the corresponding directory in /usr/local after uninstalling.

Thanks for the wishes, but unfortunately i'm not building it anymore. Don't ask why. :( To add a shortcut to XMMS to your desktop, just drag run-xmms icon from .usr/local/xmms-1.2.10 to your desktop (enable hidden file viewing by clicking the eye in the file manager toolbar to get there), then right...

I'm using the latest version of MPlayer, and it's 1.0.8 not 1.0rc2. And my window manager is IceWM, not JWM. :P As about the video card, i have an ATi RAGE II+ DVD with 4MB of memory, on PCI bus. I haven't installed any drivers for it, so i suppose it's using the standard Xorg driver. And don't tell...
